A new article by DVCNews.com reports that Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa has again been added to the list of Disney Vacation Club sold out resorts. Timeshare sales at Disney's Saratoga Springs first began in late 2003, and it took a little under five years for the first three phases of the resort to be "sold out".
Developer sales were reopened in 2009, with the addition of a fourth phase- the Treehouse Villas at Saratoga Springs. The unique pedestal design and construction of these platform villas resulted in plenty of discussion, but the economy most likely resulted in slower than expected sales for this phase. Disney Vacation Club made a recent push to sell off the remaining interests by cutting prices, and now has removed this destination from it's active list of sale inventory.
Even with the "sold out" designation, buyers will still be able to request add-on contracts for this resort through the developer. Availability will vary as buyers may have to wait for DVC to re-acquire contracts through either foreclosure or the developer right of first refusal process. Buyers can always purchase Disney Vacation Club points via the resale market however through a respected brokerage such as the Progressive Real Estate Agency.
